Theresa Wybalene Wilmore was born on 5 Oct 1868, the sixth daughter of John Wilmore (1828-1905) JP, gentleman farmer, and Mary Wybalene Nicholls (Nickolls) (1834-1914) of 'Kinlet', Longford, who were married on 22 Oct 1861. Theresa was christened at Christ Church, Longford, on 25 Nov 1868. Theresa sang as a soprano in the Tasmanian Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. On 9 Apr 1901 at St Paul's Church, Launceston, Theresa married John Claud Cox, farmer of 'Clarendon', Nile. John was born on 7 Apr 1876, a son of James Cox and Elizabeth Thirkell.
Therese and John had three children: John Burnett on 11 May 1902; Audrey on 1 May 1903 and Noel Travers (Tom) on 19 Jun 1904. Theresa's husband John died aged 33 in Jun 1909. In 1918 Theresa and her three children left 'Clarendon' and moved to Geelong, Victoria. Theresa died on 30 Dec 1942 in Melbourne. Her sister Isla Wilmore and cousin May Barkway are also pictured in the Launceston Family Album.
