Frederick Thomas Williams may be the son born at Westbury on 24 Dec 1854 to Rev. Montague Williams and Marianne Synnot who were married on 11 Feb 1851. At the age of 26, on 11 Aug 1881, he married Mary McKenzie at Winkleigh. They had four children, all born at 'Fern Cottage', Lawrence Street, Launceston: Ella May, 15 May 1882; John Kenneth, 13 Jul 1884; Frederick Montague, 4 Dec 1886 and Jessie Stewart, 19 Apr 1889.
In 1892 Frederick was granted licences to carry passengers on the Wakefield and Koonya between Launceston and coastal ports in Tasmania. In 1903 he was a clerk, living at 139 Cimitiere Street, Launceston. He died in Launceston on 13 Mar 1921 aged 65 and was buried at Carr Villa in Section F1 No. 40. His wife Mary is also pictured in the Family Album.
