This is possibly Mrs Mary Louisa Wilkins who was born on 20 Apr 1866, the eldest daughter of James Steer (1842-1911) and his wife Fanny Elizabeth Gould (1845-1907). Mary married Alfred Robert Wilkins, a draper, on 31 Oct 1888 at Christ Church, Launceston. They had two children: Stella Grace in 1890 and Roy Steer in 1892 who died about three months later.

At the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition Alfred and Mary were living at 85 Wellington Road, Launceston. By 1921, when Alfred's father George celebrated his 90th birthday, they were residents of Ulverstone. Mary died on 28 Sep 1941 aged 75 at her residence 'Nara', Mayne Street, Ulverstone. She was privately cremated at Carr Villa. Alfred died on 21 Oct 1954 aged 88.
