George Wilkins was born in Launceston on 21 Dec 1867, the eighth child of George Wilkins (1831-1927) and his wife Sarah Ann Morris (1837-1878). George married Alice Henrietta Garrett in Launceston on 26 Mar 1891. They had two daughters in Launceston: Vera May on 3 Jul 1891 and Mabel Christina on 13 May 1893, before moving to Western Australia about 1895. Florence was born in 1897 and Frederick in 1907.

George was residing in Fremantle in 1921 when his father turned 90. Like his father, George was a keen bowler, and won the championship of Western Australia, as well as the championship of his local club. He was employed as a railway officer. George died on 31 Jan 1935 at his residence 14 Chester Street, Subiaco, and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Karrakatta. His wife Alice and her parents are also pictured in the Family Album.
