This is possibly Amelia Rose Whittle, wife of Ernest Whittle. Amelia was born on 18 May 1858 the daughter of John Cornish and his wife Rosetta Sutherland. She married her first cousin Ernest Whittle on 18 Aug 1888. Their children were: a girl, born 22 Mar 1882 who probably died young; Ernest Garnet, 20 Mar, 1883 and Eugene Roy, born 1 Feb 1890. Mrs Whittle was a soprano in the Exhibition Choir.

Amelia married a second time, to James McKurdy in 1909. She died on 22 Jun 1924 at Launceston aged 66. Her sons lived at 'Watery Plains', White Hills. Amelia was buried beside her sister Ada Cornish at St Andrew's Church cemetery, Evandale.
