Vernon Nelson Weetman was born on 30 Jul 1875, the younger son of Nelson Weetman (1840-1912) and his wife Ellen Ferguson (1844-1907). Before Vernon married Jemima (Mimie) Anderson on 12 Dec 1905, he was a farmer at Freshwater Point, Cormiston. His daughters were born in Launceston, Ellen in 1911 and Mary in 1916. He farmed at Frankford, before moving to Trevallyn when he was employed as a clerk. Vernon died at 'Glenview', Glenorchy, on 10 Sep 1959, but was privately cremated at Carr Villa, Launceston, the following day aged 84. His wife Jemima had died aged 72 ten years earlier, on 8 Jul 1949. Jemima's mother and two older sisters are also in the Family Album.
