Rachel Allan Webster was born on 5 Dec 1859, the eldest child of Alexander Webster (1819-1907), ironmonger, and his second wife Rachel Kilpatrick Tilley Allan (a daughter of James Allan) who were married on 24 Feb 1859 at Chalmers Church, Melbourne. Alexander was a widower with seven or eight young children. He and Rachel had four daughters and four sons. Three of these sons are pictured in the Family Album: Alexander James, Leonard and Hubert. Rachel was living with her parents at 'Ahava', 19 York Street, Launceston, in 1903. Her father died in 1907 and her mother passed away in 1910. Rachel died aged 86 on 25 Feb 1946 and was cremated at Carr Villa.
