Stanley Vincent Warrington was born in Launceston on 24 Nov 1876, the eldest son of Vincent Warrington (1836-1919), publican of the Rose of Australia Hotel, and later caretaker of the Isolation Hospital, and his wife Mary Martin, formerly Sheehan (1839-1913). Stanley had two younger brothers. George Michael, who was born in Jun 1878 and died aged four in Mar 1883. His surviving brother Ernest Albert also attended the Exhibition in 1891-92. Stanley and his brother Ernest were commended for their joint exhibits of four photo frames, two doll tables, a dressing table, three pairs of ox horns, and a cabinet of foreign coins. Stanley was a student at the Launceston High School.
