Mary Margaret Swan was born on 9 May 1861, the elder daughter of Charles Cameron Swan (1836-1904), a gentleman and JP, and his wife Georgina Ann Read (1837-1876) of 'Dunedin', St Leonards or Patersons Plains. Mary married 39-year-old Rev. Charles William Hamilton Dicker at St John's Church, Ouse, on 14 Jan 1895. Their son Charles George Hamilton Dicker was born on 2 Feb 1896. Mary died just a few weeks later aged 34 on 25 Mar 1896 at 'Dunrobin'. Her sister Julia and brother Harold are also pictured in the Launceston Family Album.
