Mrs Charlotte Stuchbery was born on 26 Sep 1857, a daughter of Edwin Medwin (1824-1895) and Elizabeth Nettleton who married on 20 Dec 1852. They lived at 'Mount Pleasant', Forest. Her grandfather, William Medwin, was the first settler, apart from the Van Diemen's Land Co., in the Circular Head district.
Charlotte married Thomas George Stuchbery on 28 Mar 1882 at Waratah. Thomas was born on 13 Apr 1856, the son of Thomas Wally Stuchbery and Selina Jane King. He died on 1 Sep 1889 aged 33 at 'Pascoe Vale', Circular Head. Charlotte married her second husband, Carl Nicholas George Wehrs, on 26 Dec 1892 at Stanley. They moved to Burnie after the First World War. Carl died on 18 Jul 1924 at Burnie. Charlotte resided with her niece, Mrs EC Weatherhead, at South Burnie for about 30 years. Charlotte died at the age of 97 on 26 Aug 1953 at the Spencer Hospital, Wynyard. Charlotte sang in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92.
