This is possibly Captain James Sharpe, who, at the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition, lived in Mayne Street, Invermay. In 1890 Captain James Sharpe had been involved in an incident when the Seamen's Union had withdrawn the crew from his vessel Corlana and refused to crew any vessel which he might command.
This entry appears to be written as Sharpenter (or Sharpcutter) in the original album.
