This is possibly Arthur Theodore Scott who was born in Westbury on 10 Aug 1871, the eldest of nine children of Jabez Scott and Susannah Wesley Smithies. At the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition in 1891-92 Arthur was chief clerk at PO Fysh and Co., Charles Street, Launceston. He was a bass in the Exhibition Choir.
Arthur married Emily Jane Gee in 1896 in Perth, Western Australia. They had three daughters: Barbara de Witt, born in Northam, WA, in 1900; Margaret de Witt, born in Launceston on 24 Jun 1902 and Jean de Witt born in Northam in 1904. They also had two sons, Donald and Neil. Arthur was a public accountant in Wiluna and Norseman in Western Australia. He died aged 76 at Norseman on 19 May 1948.
