Leila May Sampson was born on 2 Jul 1879, the third child of Richard Sampson (c.1847-1917) and his wife Caroline Elizabeth Pollard (1849-1945) and sister to Edith and Thomas, both pictured in the Album. Like her sister Edith she never married. Leila died in Launceston on 9 May 1958.
