George Robertson was born on 4 Sep 1870, the eldest child of James Robertson and his wife Elizabeth Mary Pullen. George married Edith Thurston at Launceston on 12 Jun 1895. Their elder son, George Theodore born on 18 Apr 1896, was killed in World War I. Their daughters, Edie Ismay (1897-1983) and Dorothy Jean (1903-1976), were both unmarried. Their fourth child James was born on 2 Apr 1913. George died aged 90 in Jul 1960. He was buried at Carr Villa Section C 73 with his wife Edith who had died aged 65 in Jul 1937. George's brother Arthur is also pictured in the Family Album.
