Percy Claude Rocher was born on 5 Jan 1852 to Charles Alexander William Rocher (died 1877) and his wife Oceana Peet (1822-1901) who were married 28 May 1839. His older brother Charles William was born in 1842 and was the Launceston town clerk from 1872 to 1919. Percy was the librarian and secretary of the Launceston Choral Society and sang as a tenor in the choir at the Tasmanian Exhibition of 1891-92. He worked at the Customs Department in Launceston. Percy died in West Malling, Kent, England, on 26 Jul 1894 aged 42 years. His mother is also pictured in the Family Album. See The Examiner 9 Jun 2007, page 44.
