Mrs Martha Norman, born in the Morven (Evandale) district on 10 Mar 1862, was the ninth of 17 children of John Price and Eliza Clark, who were married in Launceston on 20 Dec 1843. Martha Price married Richard Norman on 6 Jun 1886 in Launceston. Richard was a carpenter, joiner, cabinet-maker and venetian blind-maker with premises in the Quadrant. The couple lived in French Street, Launceston. They later went to South Africa, where Martha died on 17 Aug 1939 at Port Elizabeth, Cape Province.
