This is possibly Mrs Martha Lyne who was born about 1834, the daughter of David Murray (c.1787-1837) and Marion Carmichael (c.1801-1877). She married John Lyne MHA on 30 Jun 1891 in Launceston. She was 57 and her husband was 81 at the time of their marriage. The couple lived in her family's home 'Dunira', 102 Tamar Street, Launceston. It was John Lyne's second marriage. His first wife was Lillias Cross Carmichael Hume. John Lyne was a member of a well-known and respected family from the East Coast of Tasmania, many of whose members, including his sons, held office in public life. John was MHA for Glamorgan from 1880-1893. He died in Launceston on 14 Sep 1900. Martha died on 24 Jun 1919 at Longford.
