Mrs Catherine Kemp, nee McCarthy, married Angus Smith Kemp on 13 Apr 1864 in Launceston. They had three daughters: Christina, 1864; Jessie, 1867 and May. All three daughters' portraits are in the Family Album. Catherine died aged 72 on 23 Feb 1912 at her residence in Welman Street. She was buried at Carr Villa in Section A 196. After her death Angus moved to Melbourne and died aged about 77 on 16 Nov 1919 at his residence, 41 Arnold Street, South Yarra. His remains were brought back to Launceston for burial with Catherine.
