Charles Lambert Joscelyne, born in Launceston on 5 Feb 1874, was the fourth child and third son of ten children born to Charles Walter Joscelyne (c.1845-1911) and his wife Mary Ann Gould (c.1847-1914). He sang bass in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. Charles junior married Jessie Mary Adams Wilkinson on 26 Dec 1900. They had three surviving children and moved to Goulburn, NSW.
