Beatrice May Irvine was the middle child of Richard Francis Irvine (1845-1921) and his wife Frances Beatrice Lette (1857-1923). At the time of the Exhibition the family lived at 'Lebrina' in Paterson St. Known as May, she married Hugh Fraser, MA, a teacher at the Launceston Church Grammar School. The marriage took place on 1 Jan 1908 at the Holy Trinity Church, Launceston. They spent their honeymoon at Eaglehawk Neck.
May and Hugh had three children: Alison, born 1909, married J M Fotheringham; Hugh, 1913 and Don, 1915. May lived all her life in Launceston and died on 8 Jun 1950 aged 73 at a private hospital. Her residence at the time was 36 High Street, Launceston. She was cremated at Carr Villa and her ashes were interred in the Western Wall 77C. Her parents and brothers are also in the Family Album.
