Henry Hogg, (known as Harry), was born on 6 Oct 1870 in the Evandale district to William James Hogg, licensee of the Eagle's Return at Snake Banks, and his wife Caroline Jane Panton who were married at Campbell Town on 20 Oct 1857. Harry became a pharmacist and worked for Fairthorne's Pharmacy in St John Street, Launceston. He married Maud Goulden on 20 Jun 1899. Maud was also known by the surname Huggett which was her original name until her grandfather adopted her after her father died. Their daughter, Gwenneth Agnes, was born on 30 Oct 1904. Harry died in Launceston on 11 May 1949 aged 78. Maud died on 8 Jan 1953 aged 83. Both are buried at the Carr Villa Cemetery site D3 142. See The Examiner 21 Oct 2006, page 32.
