William Archer Harrison was born in Launceston on 19 May 1877, one of seven children of Arthur John Harrison (1835-1890) and his wife Alice Weedon. In 1896 he was working as a clerk in Launceston. Arthur married Emma Christina Innes on 1 Feb 1905 at All Saints Church, Hobart. Their first child, William Archer, was born in Hobart on 16 Nov 1906, followed by Geoffrey Bauchop on 20 Jan 1908.

The family later moved to Chatswood in Sydney. William was involved in mining ventures in NSW. In 1922 he sued for divorce on the grounds of his wife's desertion. He died on 19 Nov 1968 at the age of 91 in Victoria and is buried in St Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Campbell Town. William's sister Mabel and brother Percival are also in the Album.
