Ida May Groom was born at Deloraine on 20 Oct 1876, the fifth child of James Parker Groom (1837-1888) and his wife Mary Ann Horne (1839-1882) who were married at Deloraine on 21 Dec 1868. Her mother was a daughter of Alfred Horne who owned 'Bowerbank Mill' at Deloraine. In Nov 1882 when Ida was six years her old mother died of consumption. Ida's sisters Annie and Susan are also pictured in the Family Album. Ida might have died in Orange, NSW, in 1958. See The Examiner 23 Jun 2007, page 33.
