Mrs Margaret Genders was born in Launceston on 26 Mar 1837, the eldest daughter of Peter Clyne (c.1806-1858) and Elizabeth Waddell (c.1818-1870) who were married on 21 Jun 1836. Margaret Clyne married Joseph Charles Genders at the Scots Church, Melbourne, on 20 Nov 1889. He was a widower with 11 surviving children, the youngest, Ada, being 10 years old. Margaret died aged 61 at 'The Bungalow', High Street, Launceston, 5 May 1898. See The Examiner 8 Jul 2006, p.34.
