Stella Mary Farmilo, born in Launceston on 8 Nov 1890, was the fourth daughter of John Todd Farmilo (1849-1933) and his wife Mary Amy Stewart (1862-1942). On 5 Apr 1915 Stella married Gordon Douglas Shields, the son of David and Susan Shields. They had two children: Raymond on 6 Feb 1916 and Audrey on 12 Apr 1920. Stella died aged 30 at the Launceston General Hospital on 15 Aug 1921. She was buried at Carr Villa in Section F 100, leaving her husband with two young children.
