Annie Margaret Dugan was the daughter of Patrick Benedict Dugan, a flautist, and Harriette Giles who were married in Hobart in 1864. Annie was born in Launceston on 26 May 1876 and her brother Charles in 1878. Annie was an alto in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92; at the time she was living at 'Fernside', Trevallyn Terrace, Trevallyn. She married John Francis Sheargold on 25 Dec 1900 in Launceston. Francis was born in the Westbury district in 1879. They had two daughters, Dorothy and Betty. Annie died aged 84 on 30 May 1960 and was cremated at Carr Villa.
