Minnie Cumings, later called Mignonette, was born at 10 Lynne Street, Camden Town, London to Ebenezer Cumings (1839-1914) and Caroline Harslett (1829-1912). At the time of the Exhibition the family was living at 'Heimweh', Trevallyn Terrace, Trevallyn. Minnie married a widower Henry Jowett on 10 May 1893 at the Holy Trinity Church, Launceston. They had three sons, Aubrey born in 1894, Wilfred Henry in Nov 1901 at 41 French Street and Edmund Trevor Holmes in Nov 1909 at 11 Balfour Street. Aubrey and Trevor attended the Launceston Church Grammar School and Wilfred was educated at the Launceston High School.
Minnie was a soprano in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92 while her sister Harriet (Addie) was an alto. The sisters conducted a school at South Esk Road, Trevallyn. Minnie died on 18 May 1953 aged 83 and was cremated at Carr Villa. Her sister Addie, brother William and her future husband are also pictured in the Family Album.
