Oscar Clarence Cox was born on 7 Sep 1872, the youngest son of William Cox (1831-1908) and his wife Elizabeth Jordan (1830-1912) of Deloraine. He rowed in his youth and settled in New Zealand in the early 1900s. He had four children by his first wife Florence Mary Bird, and one by his second wife Minnie Fordham. Some of his descendants still live in New Zealand where Oscar died in 1962. Florence Bird (1874-1901) and his sisters Emily and Ida and brother Harold Cox are also pictured in this album.
