Albert Ernest Edward (Dick) Conway was born on 5 Jun 1878, the youngest child of Harry Conway (c.1829-1905) MHA, Architect and Inspector of Public Works, and his wife Susan Ann Ball who were married in Victoria. Albert was a carpenter. It appears that he and Elizabeth Ada Conway had a daughter Myrtle on 17 Feb 1914. When Albert signed his will in Jul 1914 he named his unmarried niece Elizabeth Ada Conway as the sole executor. Albert died on 29 Sep 1916 aged 39. He was buried in the family plot at the Cypress Street Cemetery, Launceston. The death notice in The Examiner does not mention Elizabeth or Myrtle. They later moved to Victoria. In 1937 Myrtle was a textile worker at Bourke and living with her mother.
