Ursula Josephine Collins, known by her second name, was the sixth child of George Thomas Collins (1839-1926) and his wife Ursula Flora McEachern (1843-1929). Born on 22 Jun 1874, Josephine was educated at the Methodist Ladies College in Launceston from 1886. She married the well-known cricketer and actor Charles Pitt Hammond on 31 Jul 1909 at Christ Church, Cheltenham, England. They had one son George, born on 28 Feb 1911 in New York, USA, but he died at the age of six. Josephine died on 27 Nov 1958 in Los Angeles, three years after her husband. Charles is also pictured in the Family Album, along with Josephine's mother, brother and five sisters.
