Henrietta Victoria Campbell, known as Nettie, was born on 29 Mar 1867 in Hobart. She was the fourth of nine children of John William Campbell (1825-1913) and his wife Henrietta Chamberlain (1840-1928). Her father, for many years a collector of customs, was living at 'Clydeville', 13 Welman Street, Launceston, when he died on 10 Oct 1913 aged 88 years. Henrietta had eight siblings; the three youngest, Lily, Eveline and Dudley, are pictured in the Launceston Family Album, along with their mother. Henrietta died aged 26 on 9 Nov 1893 of pulmonary phthisis (tuberculosis) at her residence in Upper Charles Street.
