This is possibly Thomas Francis Cahill who was born in Kilkenny, Ireland. He married Winifred Penelope Hourigan in 1882 in Victoria. The couple had four children: Wilfred John Dennis, born 1883; Stella Mary, 1884; Veronica, 1886 and Cyria Katherine, born 1888 and died 1889. Winifred died aged 33 at Hawthorn, Victoria, in 1890.

Thomas married Marion Troup in Launceston on 30 Mar 1891, according to to rites of the Catholic Church.

The couple appears to have left Tasmania a few years after the Tasmanian Exhibition in 1891-92. Marion is also pictured in the Family Album.
