This is possibly Henry (Harry) James Boyd, born on 5 Oct 1863, the eldest of five children born to bootmaker Thomas Boyd (1844-1913) and his wife Ellen Forgie (or Forcil, Forcie, Gorgie or Torpie). He followed his father's trade of bootmaker. Harry's mother died aged 56 on 16 Dec 1898 and his father married a widow, Margaret Bishop, on 28 Feb 1900.
By Mar 1903 Harry was in America. He died on 14 Feb 1910 of heart failure at Baltimore, USA. There was a memorial to him in the Scotch Cemetery, Launceston. Two of Harry's sisters and his future stepmother also appear in the Launceston Family Album.
