This portrait is labelled as D Bishop and could be a daughter of William and Margaret Bishop who also appear in the Launceston Family Album.
Elizabeth Sarah Bishop, the elder daughter, was born at George Town on 13 Apr 1865. She would have been 25 at the time of the Exhibition. No further details are known of her life.
Mary Maud or Maud Mary Bishop was born in Launceston on 15 Jun 1871. In 1903 she was living with her mother Margaret Boyd, stepfather Thomas Boyd and brother William Bishop at 142 Charles Street. Mary Maude married George Lewis Nettlefold, a reporter from Hobart, on 27 Jan 1905 at the residence of Mr J W Riva, Brisbane Street, Launceston. Maud was given away by her brother William in a quiet ceremony which took place in the drawing room which was tastefully decorated with white flowers, palms and ivy. George died aged 47 in Hobart in Oct 1915.
