This is possibly Frederick Barnes who was born on 11 May 1858 in Alford, Lincolnshire, England. He was the son of Martin Barnes (1813-1894), manufacturer, and Ann Anderson (1817-1899) who were married on 14 May 1838.
At the time of the Exhibition, Frederick was described as a sharebroker and commission agent with an office at 49 Cameron Street, Launceston. On 15 Sep 1894 Frederick married Martha Jemima (Patty) Sidebottom at St John's Church, Launceston. Soon after their marriage the couple moved to Ulverstone where their three children were born: Frederick Sidebottom, 20 Oct 1896; Victoria Kathleen, 5 Mar 1898 and Winifred Constance, 30 Jun 1902.
In Ulverstone, Frederick was a boot and shoe dealer and importer, saddle and harness maker and bicycle agent. In the 1920s Martha was a dressmaker in Ulverstone.
Frederick died on 25 Apr 1929 in Prahran, Victoria, and Martha died on 4 Mar 1934 in Heidelberg, Victoria. Martha is also pictured in the Launceston Family Album, before her marriage.
