Isla Millicent Hurd Wilmore was born on 6 May 1867, the fifth daughter of John Wilmore, farmer, of 'Kinlet', Longford, and Mary Wybalene Nicholls who were married on 22 Oct 1861. At the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition in 1891-92 she was living with another unmarried sister in Elphin Road, Launceston. Isla sang alto in the Exhibition Choir. Her youngest sister Gertrude was later married to Dr George Ernest Clemons of Launceston. Isla died on 1 Apr 1932 on King Island. Her sister Theresa Wilmore and cousin May Barkway are also pictured in the Launceston Family Album.
