Alice Geraldine Ransom was born in Sep 1861 at 'Killymoon', Avoca, the youngest of nine children of Thomas Ransom (birth name McNally 1820-1904) and Sarah Stanfield (c.1823-1890). Her parents were married at Clarence on 10 Feb 1844. Alice was christened at Cullenswood on 27 Oct 1861. Her siblings were: Emily, born 1845; Constance, 1847; Frederick, 1850; Thomas, 1852-1852; Ernest, 1853; Florence, 1856; Lewis, 1858 and Evelyn, 1859. Her three sisters, Emily Gaunt, Constance Valentine and Evelyn Ransom are pictured in the Family Album.
