Mrs Jane Parker was born in Hobart on 22 Feb 1839 to Richard Lewis Roberts and Hannah Pearson. Jane married Robert John Parker, solicitor of the well-known firm of Ritchie & Parker. They had six sons and one daughter between 1862 and 1872. The second son Alfred died on 24 Apr 1888 aged 24. The third son Charles Percy died aged 9 months on 25 May 1866. The fourth son Charles Herbert died at two months on 20 May 1867.

Two sons, Robert and Percy, and the only daughter Alice, are pictured in the Family Album. Jane died aged 84 at her residence 'Waratah', a guest house in York Street, Launceston, on 4 Jun 1924. She was buried in the Monumental Cemetery Section E4 at Carr Villa, next to her husband Robert who had passed away on 11 Mar 1903 aged 66.
