









Elizabeth Amy Nicholas was born in Victoria about 1865, the third daughter of Edward Nicholas (1836-1917), a storekeeper, and his wife Mary Ann Sidebottom (1839-1924). She was known by her second name, Amy, and went to New Zealand as a baby. Later, the family moved to Tasmania.
Amy was an alto in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. She died aged 82 on 3 Apr 1949 and was buried at Carr Villa Park in C11 No. 153. Her mother, three brothers, aunt and two cousins are also in the Launceston Family Album.
