Mrs Emily Mary Kidd was born about 1841, the daughter of John Smith. Emily was a teacher at the Frederick Street Infant School from 1863 until 1895, both before and after her marriage. She married Alexander Kidd on 17 Aug 1873 in Launceston. They had six children between 1875 and 1883, but only two survived, Robert and Emily, who are both in the Family Album, together with Alexander. Emily died aged 82 on 5 Nov 1923. She is buried at Carr Villa.
