Harold Davey was born at Longford on 10 Apr 1865, a son of Thomas Davey (1825-1892) and his wife Mary Bunton (1833-1903). His parents were married at Longford on 17 Nov 1852. He was the sixth of ten children. His siblings were Catherine, 1853; Alice or Alicia, 1855; Charlotte, 1857; Eva, 1860-1861; Tasman, 1863; Oscar, 1867; Albert, 1872; Ormand, 1874 and Mary, 1877-1877.
Harold married Margaret Ann Barrett on 31 Mar 1897 in Launceston. They had one son, Harold Barrett, born on 17 Sep 1898 who became an electrician. Harold senior was employed as a draper with the firm of J W Pepper and Son. He joined the Launceston Bowls Club.
Harold died aged 74 on 1 Sep 1939 at his residence at 239 Charles Street, Launceston, and was buried at the Carr Villa Cemetery. Harold Barrett died on 15 Apr 1948 and was buried with his father in section F 264. Margaret died just over three months later on 31 Jul 1948 aged 76. Harold's brothers Albert and Ormand are also pictured in the Family Album.
